The Crack of Dawn Hair Salon is a 100% black woman owned salon established in 2018 when Advocate Nontsasa Memela, the sole owner, realised her love for hair and the beauty industry over and above her passion for law.
The salon's name, The Crack of Dawn, emanates from her name, Nontsasa which means dawn, and those of her three children Khwezi, Khanya and Kwasa all of which resonate the theme of light and the breaking dawn.
